Of paperwork and puddles

We’ve only been back from England since Sunday night, but so far this week has been one crazy paperwork thing to take care of after another.

When I say crazy, read “annoying”.   Some days are just like that.

So as a way to see some good coming from all of this, I offer the following reflection on having to visit the Zollamt —  the German customs office — yesterday. You see, I never would have gone to that part of the neighboring town Reutlingen had I not had to go to pay customs on an incoming package from the U.S. As annoying as that was to have to do (and pay), if I hadn’t gone looking for the Zollamt office on a street near the train station there, I never would have seen this:

On the road to reflection, near the Zollamt, Reutlingen

One takes the silver lining – or at least one’s nice puddle reflection – where one finds it.

  1. That does seem to make things better. I hate having to do anything anymore that doesn’t involve my creativity. So finding a sliver of the sublime, makes the time spent doing a reluctant task alright. Love and have great holidays, find work and enjoy Munich. You are there now?
