Specifically, we needed to find the way to the rooftop terrace at the Circus Hotel in Berlin. That’s where we stayed on our trip a couple of weeks ago. Our room was on the 4th floor, which was the top floor that the elevator went to. However, there was also a rooftop terrace. Here’s the sign that was across from the elevator as you stepped onto the 4th floor:
At first glance, it seemed to indicate that the roof top terrace was below us. But what the downward pointing arrow is trying to say is to turn around and look to the left of the elevator. That’s where the door to an unmarked stairwell is. That set of stairs were the ones that led up one flight to the roof.
Coming tomorrow: the view you get from the roof, once you figure out that sign. 😉
I note the sign is in English, but the arrow sure looks misleading.
