Continuing my series this week of the Neckar River under snow and ice, I have some photos from early evening yesterday, plus photos from this morning.
100 Posts Later ….
… and I’m still taking photos of that same spot on the Neckar River. There’s a reason it’s referred to locally as the “Postcard Shot”, I guess.

Where there’s ice, there’s snow
In today’s weather update, it was snowing this morning, with a temperature reported as -15ºC/5ºF. Or maybe it was colder. I could believe it was colder. Continue reading
The Ice River Cometh
According to our local sources, the last time the Neckar River froze over was back in 1996. The time before that was in 1920. However, with temperatures well below freezing for over a week now, the river is well on its way to completely freezing over.
Finally a few follow ups
Today I finally have a few follow ups to all your fabulous comments from the past few weeks. 🙂 I’ve actually been trying to post this for a while, but every time I work on it some more, I seem to run into a computer or internet problem. The One with the Cherries on Top
I had noticed an odd-looking Berliner doughnut recently in one of the bakeries here in Tübingen.

Sweet!
Thanks for all your comments and well-wishes for the test today! I am pleased to be able to report that I got an “A” for the course overall, having scored an “A-” on the test (homework, participation, and class attendance apparently all factor into the final grade). Since I spent all my time last night studying those 500+ words, it’s probably not surprising that where I lost most of my points was on all the other stuff on the test. 😉 But, I’m not complaining. An “A” on a test when I didn’t expect it? Sweet!
