In previous years, they’ve had colored lights shining on this tower at Christmas time. I guess as part of the cut backs with the bad economy in Italy at the moment, they eliminated some of the electronic light decorations. I was standing in Piazza Erbe to take the photo, and the colored lights that used to decorate that square were also not in evidence this year.
