As I heard someone comment today, October in Tübingen typically has a lot of dark and dreary days. The good thing about a dark and dreary day, though, is that it often also rains a little. And that’s a good thing, because when it does, there’s nothing better than finding a nice puddle to play in — photographically speaking, that is.
I offer the following as evidence that even when it’s raining, and the reflections aren’t picture perfect, you can still find a few interesting things to do with a puddle or two. All photos were taken on October 9, 2012 here in Tübingen, which dawned a dark and dreary day.
- Puddle Pac-Man
- Rain Rings
- A leaf in the rain – Photo #1
- A leaf in the rain – Photo #2
- Tree view in a window – Photo #1
- Tree in a window – Photo #2
- Tree view in a window – Photo #3
- Shadows, puddles and sky
I liked the color and lines in Leaf and rain#1 and in addition to that, it looked like there were ten frogs in the picture, some with just their eyes and head showing. As for the wrapper in the tree/window picture, it helped me get oriented or otherwise I would not have known which way is up!
Thanks, Stan! That’s an interesting point about having that piece of litter in the photo – it does give you an anchor for the photo. However, I think I’ll still prefer one without the litter to one with it. 😉
