Puddle World Revisited

Quick update on the moths: I have now bought and burned a lavender candle in the apartment. I saw one lone moth limping along on the floor, which probably had nothing to do with the candle. Unless he was allergic to it or something: the scent is not supposed to be toxic, just annoying to moths.

Anyway, the hunt for the candle and some other errands kept me occupied for much of the day, so today’s post is really just a quick on of those “a window to another world” kind of photos. In a puddle. Turned on its side.

Well, it is what I do with my puddle photos these days, after all. 😉

I call it a view under a bridge, but of course it’s all an illusion. I think you can guess what actually was reflected in the puddle if you look at it closely.

In any case, enjoy. And see you back here on Monday, when I hope to finally have that story from the National Railway museum in York… 🙂

Puddle World Revisited — 5 Comments

  1. Breathtaking. Your puddle photos are found art–intriguing and at least to a degree fathomable. The first impression is that we’re peering into a cut in a stone wall, and then we realize …

  2. Great photo. Little world inside a puddle never mind as I muddle up my mind of mirky water, from these views I am befuddled all because of an upside down vista made by the daughter of my big sista

  3. You do seem to find the right puddles to show off your artistic side.

Still can’t believe this isn’t a scenic view with a concrete frame. Only the puddle knows.

  4. Thanks for all the lovely comments on the puddle photos! I think I need to gather them all together and see how they shape up as a group.
@Will, I may quite you on that someday. 🙂
@Kathy, I love how it inspired you to verse. 😉
@Mom, it is amazing to realize that such a scenic view is actually in a puddle – it’s no wonder that sometimes people have (incorrectly) thought I’ve manually added the “scene” to the puddle on the computer. 😉

  5. I will echo some of the comments above and just add that it has the feel of a marvelous mystery picture!
