Today I want to do a quick follow-up on yesterday’s post. Remember when I said that those paparazzi were probably taking a photo of a scene behind me, and not focussing on me for their shots? To prove my point, here’s my photo (taken on a different day) of the scene they would have seen behind me:
I am pivoted around 180˚to face in the opposite direction from where I was looking when I took the photos I posted yesterday. In today’s photo, we’re looking toward the buildings of the Louvre Museum, which are next to the Tuileries Garden. Click on the photo above to open a larger version in a new window, and then click on that version to make it even bigger.
Even though I teach people how to get better photos with any camera, I’m really amazed at the amount of detail in this photo when you zoom in, as it was taken with my cell phone camera.
Great photo, Linda. Fabulous ghostly leg on the runner, too.
It’s hard to believe that such gorgeous detail came from a cell phone. I’m guessing that some talent was also involved in taking that crystal-clear shot.
Also, how surprising that the people in the photo are dressed pretty much like us here, and are just about as fat as us. Or do you think most are Americans?
It’s a great shot, regardless of the camera. Must be the photographer’s talent.:)
Thanks, everybody! 🙂 It’s nice to have a good example to prove I can take (and therefore teach) taking good photos with any camera… 😉
@ Will, in looking at the people in the photo, my guess is that they are all tourists, since nobody seems dressed up. So, perhaps they are all American tourists…
It is quite stunning, in the first enlargement, to see the two wings of the Louvre extending so far on each side. Nice!
