Today on a Food on Fridays we discover a most unusual after-dinner drink: Liquore alla Rucola.
It’s a type of Amaro liqueur, which is an after-dinner digestive drink that is usually made with herbs. However this one was made with rucola, or as it’s called in the US, arugula, or as it’s called in the UK, rocket.
It had a quite pleasant taste, vaguely herbal, and nothing at all like the taste of arugula when you eat it. I don’t believe I’ve ever drunk any drink made from lettuce before. Of course, you can made a liquor out of anything, I guess -it’s not exactly rocket science.
Except in this case, I guess it was, eh? 😉
Ouch.:)
Rocket? I like the hill town picture on the label. The liqueur doesn’t sound oo enticing.
