We’re back: back in Tübingen after a short trip that took us back to Bolzano, Italy where we lived for a few years before moving to Germany. As I mentioned last week, Bolzano has 3 different Seilbahnen (“cable cars”) in town. The one that goes up to the to the town of Renon in the mountains is the one you can catch a glimpse of as you pull into the Bolzano train station when coming down from the north. I didn’t get a photo from that perspective, since we were preparing to get off the train at that moment, and it wasn’t possible to pull out a camera of any type.
But that’s OK. Perhaps the most dramatic view of it is seeing one of the cable cars with the Dolomites providing a nice backdrop, taken from what was (and still is) the best view of the Dolomites from Bolzano. Click on the photo below to enlarge it, and then you should be easily able to spot the cable car in the left-third of the photo:
As I always used to say on my old blog, when in doubt, you can never go wrong with a photo of the Dolomites. 😉
That picture almost made me homesick to see that beautiful view. I bet you got so used to the mountains that you hardly even noticed them your last year there!
