It was snowing today in Tübingen. As I walked near this ice cream store — the only one still open in Tübingen at this time of year — I saw that they had their neon sign outside and going, which they usually only have running at night. To see it outside and brightly lit while walking around in the snow, in below-freezing temperatures, just seemed a bit over-optimistic on their part. It’s certainly a mystery to me how anyone would want to eat an ice cream cone when it’s -8 degrees C / 17 degrees F outside — and you’re walking in snow.

BTW, buldings in Tübingen are not actually black and white, but with the gray day, they were nearly so. So I actually have made them black and white, to emphasize the color of the sign. 🙂
