Well, by “streets” of Venice I mean canals, of course, which means that any scene on a street there involves water, and usually some type of a boat or two. So today’s photo gallery has a few examples of what a typical scene on a canal in Venice looks like.
Enjoy.

Gondola and buses, on the grand canal, Venice, June 2014
Beautiful pictures! So much better than my own from the trip after my visit with you and Chris in Bolzano.
The water’s dirty, the buildings are rotting and falling apart, yet what a magical place.
At first, I thought I would rank the pictures by ambience and the first picture got a lot of votes even though the “back streets” gave it a run for the money. Then on a continuum from calm to busy, again, the first picture won the most votes. People were everywhere in the other pictures, but in this one, even though you knew there was someone in the taxi, they were almost out of sight. As Will said, it is a magical place; and the “two taxis” picture exudes with its charm.
Thanks for your comments and kind words! Glad you enjoyed the photos – Venice is a special (and photogenic!) place for me. 🙂
