We’re off to Island, which is the name in German for the country of Iceland. Chris has a conference there this week, and I have the opportunity to explore a new country (neither of us has ever been there before).
We will journey through Copenhagen on the way (well at least through the airport), so maybe we’ll fly over the site of the recent Eurovision song contest. BTW, you’ll have time this week to catch up and take a look at any of those Eurovision links you didn’t have a chance to check out to a few weeks ago, since the blog will be on hiatus until Monday. 😉
So, Hvernig segir maður “until Monday” á íslensku? That means “How do you say ‘until Monday’ in Icelandic.” I copied the basic part of the question off an Icelandic phrase list that I unfortunately haven’t otherwise looked at. So you can probably tell I can’t actually say anything in Icelandic. Ah well – not to worry — they say that everybody in Iceland speaks English.
But wait — they said that about German, too, didn’t they?
Hmm, in that case, I think I’d better try to study that list a little before we get there. 😉
In any case, see you on Monday!
That’s exciting! Linguistically, photographically, and bloggically!
