Where the photos are

Thanks for all the positive feedback on my new eBook, Life on a Gelato Diet.  The most frequent question I keep getting is “Where are all your photos?” I guess it’s not surprising that everybody who reads this blog  — and especially those of you who read the Bolzano blog years ago — are missing the photos. I mean, you know I must have one or two, right?

Well, my first plan was to integrate the photos into the book. But that’s the funny thing about Kindle books, and eBooks in general. They aren’t perfectly happy with having lots of photos and lots of text co-existing in the same book, at least not in the formats I’ve tried so far.

So, as I mentioned last week, I’m going to be posting a “photo companion” website for the Life on a Gelato Diet book. The new website is called Beyond the Gelato Diet. That’s where the photos are — or at least will be as I post them periodically over the new few months.

First up: a look at the Dolomites since Bolzano is nestled in a valley at their feet.

Enjoy.

This is the final plug for this eBook for a while, I promise. But whatever you all did yesterday with the links something worked to get the ranking up, as the book been sitting comfortably in the top 100 list for the “Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Nonfiction > Travel > Europe > Italy” sub-genre for much of the day today. What fun!  One final favor: could I ask those who have read and enjoyed the book to go back to the page for the book at Amazon at some point and add a short review, that would be a great.

Thanks for all your support.

Tales of Tübingen resume tomorrow.

  1. Great news, top 100, wow. Now the photos, too bad they don’t have software to accept both pics and text for kindle, maybe someone needs to work on that, eh, Chris. 🙂

  2. Thanks for the comments! @Will, I’ll keep you posted on the book tour plans. @Mom, the software is out there, I just need to find it. 😉
