That star photo I posted on January 6th was actually one of a series of photos I took recently with star as the subject. Our photography group had that as a theme, and so Chris and I walked around Tübingen after Christmas looking for interesting star decorations to use as subjects.
Other than that red lantern one, though, I wasn’t too satisfied with my outdoor star photos. But then the other phase of our star exploration was taking photos at home of a little candle in a holder that had star cut-outs on the side. My favorites are the last ones where the stars are in motion.
See what you think.
I liked #2 best because it was simple, big and somewhat symmetrical.
Thanks, Stan. I spent a long time when taking photos of that candle trying to get the flame to be visible, and then when I was playing with what because photo #2 I decided that it looked better when it was “simpler” and wound up de-emphasizing the flame in that version of the image. Glad you liked it! 🙂
