So I was looking for arches a few weeks ago when our photography group had that as a theme. While lots of buildings around here do have some archway openings, my favorite photo of the set I took for that theme is actually barely an arch at all.
At first glance it looks to me like the window in the top half of the photo is a reflection of that arched opening in the bottom half of the image. But then it becomes clear that the entire scene is a reflection of an off-screen building. The different textures of the water with the reflection, though, give that initial illusion that the building at the bottom might be “real”. I like it.
Yes, that one’s a keeper!
Thanks, Will!
Is there no end to what you can find in a reflection. I liked the arch.
Any more like this one and we will all know you have Gerhard Richter working in your studio.
Thanks for the comments!
@Will, Thanks! 🙂 Now if I could just get his agent to stop by, too. 😉
@Stan – glad you liked it! I do indeed enjoy finding more things in those reflections.
