A lovely Verona when caught in the rain

Late one afternoon last month, just after we set out for a walk in Verona, the rains came.

However, there were many up-sides to note from this occurrence:

  1. We had taken nice big umbrellas with us, which we had borrowed from the hotel.
  2. As the heavens opened up, we were right next to an area where we could duck under an overhang and be protected during the worst of the deluge.
  3. I had my camera with me and was able to snap some photos during the rain storm as we stood under that overhang.
  4. After a rain storm you get puddles. And you know me and puddles. 😉

Enjoy.

P.S. The title of the post is a reference to a great song and dance number by Astaire and Rogers from the movie Top Hat. Note that Chris and I did not dance around under our overhang like Fred and Ginger do in the movie … well, I was busy taking photos, after all. 😉

  1. I liked your “Puddle Picture”of the balcony the best. I just realized that you must have turned it upside down so that the balcony would look right side up!

  2. Thanks, Stan! Indeed, the balcony photo (Puddle Photo #1) is turned upside-down, as is Puddle Photo #3; however, Puddle Photo #2 isn’t, which is unusual for me. 😉
