The Chapter House is where the Archbishop meets with all the important people in the church. This room was big and round, and around the sides were these arches with odd faces carved into each one. There were dozens of them. The guide I had for the tour I took had a few stories; while I was standing around looking at them and taking photos, another guide and his tour came along. I heard him explaining even more stories – but I suspect more than a few of his stories were just for the tourists, as they were tailored with jokes specifically tied to American tourists, as I recall. But still, an interesting room.
