Just a couple of quick puddle photos today. There are two variations for each puddle shown below; the first puddle was really intriguing – the shape of the puddle along the edge seemed almost like pooled mercury, rather than water.

The other puddle was intriguing when I saw it, since I suspected it would make a good “window on a wall” type of puddle photo.  Thanks to Chris’ suggestion regarding a change to the colors in the second one — a suggestion that got me to experimenting a bit – I came up with the final version that I really like. See what you think.

  1. On one hand, I am a tradionalist who likes the first puddle pictures better, and I like the bigger puddle as well. But, believe it or not, I actually liked the “thumbnail” version of the puddle pictures better because from a little distance away from the screen it even looks like splotchy modern art. I guess I am the weird one now.

  2. Each has its own charm. I like the colors in no.2 and the last one reminds of a modern whimsy.

  3. Thanks for the comments!
Stan, that’s interesting to hear your impression of the thumbnails vs the bigger versions. “Splotchy modern art, eh” Interesting. 😉

Kathy, thanks, glad you liked them!

Mom, I was hard pressed to pick a favorite, but I think I do like No. 2 and No. 4 the best myself.
