OK, well, that wasn’t the actual weather forecast for today, but it could have been. It had snowed here overnight, so as we walked through the park this morning, what confronted us was a bit of a winter wonderland … mixed with some sun that was trying to peek out behind the clouds … and a great deal of slush on the walkways.
By the time I got home and got my camera, it had started to snow again, even though there was still blue sky and sun to be seen in spots. The slush on the pathways, though, was still there, and I see that the footprints in the paths are clearly shown in the panorama below.
Here’s just part of the panorama:
About 2 minutes after I took these photos, while I was on the other side of the park, I saw a little snow plow come by to clean off the paths. The guy must have been given the Sisyphean task to ride around and around the park, clearing the walkways whenever it seemed that the snow had stopped, Unfortunately for him, though, the weather was wacky all day: 10 minutes of steady snow, followed by 10 minutes of bright sun and blue sky. There was even at least one 10 minute period when the two types of weather overlapped and it was both snowy and sunny simultaneously. Weird – but pretty.
