A Piece of the Postcard

Back when we lived in Bolzano, I always said one could never go wrong with another photo of the Dolomites. Here in Tübingen, I’m hoping one can never go wrong with yet another reflection photo:

Note that this photo was from last month, during a period when the weather was sunny, the skies were clear, and the conditions were ripe for a reflection on the Neckar River.  Between the punting boats, the ducks, the swans, and the wacky weather there haven’t been has many classic reflection shots on display in the river this month.

Anyway, normally I don’t take a photo of the Hölderlin Tower by itself like this — it’s most often just included in my standard “postcard shot.”  But today, I hope you enjoy this look at a piece of that postcard.

Well, an upside-down piece, that is.

But of course, eh?

  1. Love the way the yellows change color the reflective on is a deeper – cadmium yellow whereby the real one is a lemon yellow those. Those are color names for pigments.

  2. Thanks! Kathy, I also found it interesting how the reflected colors were deeper than the original. I found that unexpected – trick of the light that day? Intriguing.
