So we were wandering around Tübingen a little over the weekend and came across a place where you could get to a different vantage point to view the Neckar River. As I stopped to take a photo, Chris commented that I could call it “the back of the postcard” photo. So I did:
That’s the back (OK, maybe really more like the side) of the Hölderlin Tower, which is, of course always part of the standard postcard shot, as discussed in a previous post.
I think that the tower definitely is just a bit more photogenic from the front, don’t you? But still, seeing a little something different is never a bad thing.
And now you understand why that tower is usually seen from the front. 😉
It is very good picture of the tower from this vantage point. I also love the interesting shapes and language like designs the trees make.
Someone should write, “Wish you were here” on that building. In German, of course…
I must have missed something because I don’t know quite what the Holderlin tower is. It’s not that little steeple is it? Or the round dome in the background?
