The Back of the Postcard

So we were wandering around Tübingen a little over the weekend and came across a place where you could get to a different vantage point to view the Neckar River.  As I stopped to take a photo, Chris commented that I could call it “the back of the postcard” photo. So I did:

The Back of the Postcard

The Back of the Postcard

That’s the back (OK, maybe really more like the side) of the Hölderlin Tower, which is, of course always part of the standard postcard shot, as discussed in a previous post.

I think that the tower definitely is just a bit more photogenic from the front, don’t you? But still, seeing a little something different is never a bad thing.

And now you understand why that tower is usually seen from the front. 😉

The Back of the Postcard — 3 Comments

  1. It is very good picture of the tower from this vantage point. I also love the interesting shapes and language like designs the trees make.

  2. Someone should write, “Wish you were here” on that building. In German, of course…

  3. I must have missed something because I don’t know quite what the Holderlin tower is. It’s not that little steeple is it? Or the round dome in the background?
