Today was the first day I’ve walked to language class and seen frost on the ground, even though it wasn’t as cold this morning as it has been. In fact, this morning it was above freezing. Barely, but still, the temperature has been down below freezing in the mornings for most of the last week or so.
Anyway, I bring this up because I had planned a different topic for today’s post, but on the way to my class, I paused to snap a few photos of the frosty leaves I passed. This made me almost late for class — I did arrive with about 30 seconds to spare, though. But, since I’d risked being late to class to take them, I decided to go ahead and post a couple of the photos today:
I think it’s easier to tell that it’s frost on the leaves click on them to see them in the larger size.
Anyway, that was what I did on my way to class. Here’s where I sat when I got back:
Yes, I finally am posting a photo of our new sofa. It’s what I had planned to post today, even though I’d have to say that the photo isn’t exactly one of my best. I think I’m better at taking photos of frosty leaves than photos of sofas.
However, I think the picture is sufficient to show that our sofa is gray on top, black on the bottom, with soft and plushy cushions. It’s long enough that Chris can stretch out on it to take a nap, and short enough that it fits along the wall of our living room with room to spare.
It’s a nice place on which to curl up and unwind after German class on a frosty day.
I’m just saying. 😉
The frost photos brings to mind the frozen frost we saw in Iowa. It looked like lace and was very beautiful. Did you ever get pics of it?
The sofa looks very comfy.
“Comfy” is the word that came to my mind, too, when I saw the sofa. I guess great minds think the same. Anyway, I liked the pictures of frost on the leaves–they actually look like paintings!
I like the frost photos! It was clearly worth the risk..
I think the sofa would look cool next to a stack of boxes :-).
Beautiful pics those leaves have wonderful patterns on them and look like paintings. The couch looks comfy put how much weight does it hold. Just a thought if I visit.
I like the depth of the top frost photo; makes me wonder what you could put in the background to add to the picture. Perhaps a man in bermuda shorts…
Sorry, we were talking about contrasting concepts in the photog workshop, now it’s in the front of my mind.
