A little shameless self-promotion

Actually, it’s not just myself I’m promoting today.  An art exhibit, Open Apple Steve: “Memoriam: An aesthetic homage to Steve Jobs”,  opens tomorrow, November 16th, 2011 at The Tech Garden in Syracuse, NY. The show was organized and curated by Ty Marshall, the Tech Garden’s artist-in-residence.  Among the 20 pieces included in the exhibit are 3 works with connections  to the  Two to Tübingen blog: a digital artwork by Chris, a painting by my Aunt Kathy, and a photo by me.

Here’s a link to information about the show:

I bring this up a day in advance in order to alert you to a special internet channel that will be live starting Wednesday at 5pm EST, which is when the exhibit officially opens.  http://www.ustream.tv/channel/thegallery-thetechgarden

Now, I know you all want to see the works, but  I don’t feel right sharing Chris’ and Kathy’s works before their official unveiling at the show. However, since I’d previously shown my photo here on the blog,  click the link here so you can check it out again. It’s called The Unexpected Boatman.

Chris and I can’t be there at the opening, by Kathy will be and who will I’m sure convery our sincere thanks to Ty Marshall for including our works in the show. But we owe a great deal to Kathy for making this happen for 2 artists from Germany: it was all thanks to her that that Chris and I got involved with the show in the first place, and she also ensured that our works got mounted, framed, and delivered to Ty for inclusion in the show in Syracuse. Thanks again for everything, Kathy – we really couldn’t have done this without you! 🙂

  1. It is impressive to have three out of the twenty exhibitors connected with your blog! I tried your link up above to The Unexpected Boatman and got this response: 404 File not found. Is there something else I can try?

  2. We will be watching at 5 p.m. EST. Very exciting for all and special thanks to Kathy for all her work.

    She promised to wave tonight.
