A quick update on the boxes: in a fit of organizational skills we didn’t know we possessed, we unpacked and put away the contents of 20 boxes last night. Well, put away as much as we could; our large armoire has not arrived, so some really heavy winter clothing we luckily don’t quite need yet will remain in boxes for the time being.
Not so exciting as news to report, but for us it was impressive that in less than 2 hours we had emptied more than half of the boxes. We’re not typically quite so good at getting right to projects like that. Not that we tend to procrastinate or anything … perish the thought. 😉 Of course, we did have the “carrot” of those winter coats to find.
BTW, in the interest of full disclosure, most of the numbers I’d put on the boxes – which matched my master inventory list – actually were still visible despite what I thought at first glance yesterday. So, we didn’t need to unpack 20 boxes to find the coats as it turned out, but we unpacked all of those boxes anyway. See, we can be organized and efficient when we put our minds to it. We just don’t do it that often for something like this.;-)
On a completely unrelated note, but what I’d planned to round out the week with, I have a few more photos to share today from our brief stay in Munich back in August. The subjects are fairly random, but we were only there for a day and a half. And I though I’d better post them this week, before they get mired in the middle in the electronic pile of photos I have hanging around, which are waiting to be posted. Not that I’d wait forever to post any photos from our trips or anything. Perish the thought… 😉
Anyway, enjoy a brief glimpse of a very small part of Munich.

the photos blow me away. I could look at them for hours. the detail is amazing. I remember being able to rapidly blink and see water stop but not like this. It seems like dianmond necklaces hang off the buildings and sheets of clear water are so cool.
